Reduced costs with single-use detectors

Nabsys’ proprietary nanochannel approach reduces the design complexity, consumable requirements, and associated experiment costs. The OhmX Detector is a consumable that is typically used for a single sample. It is inserted in the detector drawer of the instrument where it forms a tight seal with the fluidics in the system and allows sample injection and the correct flow of reagents into and out of the nanochannels. Each detector is comprised of 256 separate channels which are monitored electronically in an independent manner. The information from each channel is sent to the on-board processor every 30 minutes. All channels are connected to the reagent reservoirs so they can be cleaned, flushed, or injected at the appropriate times with waste being collected for disposal.
